    An Art & Design portfolio is a mixed bag of handmade and digital artwork created by an aspiring artist or designer. The portfolio reflects on a student’s identity and personality; it also presents his/her style of perceiving and creating work. Such a portfolio is a necessity for university-level applications to various undergraduate art and design courses.

     

    Uno Lona Academy offers guidance in building strong and subject-specific portfolios that bring out the best in an art/design aspirant through its Art & Design Portfolio course. Here, students explore and experiment with diverse mediums of drawing and painting as well as 3D objects to realize their creative aptitude.     Does this course only cover the Portfolio?

    No. This course integrates several aspects of the Foundation course too as and how required for the projects undertaken. For example, if a student takes up an acrylic painting project for the portfolio and has never used acrylics before, we ensure that the basics are taught before the student executes the project.

    Will this course also help in choosing colleges?

    We advise that you work with college counselors to choose colleges. Our faculty members can guide you in narrowing down the colleges that could be your top choice and best suited for you.

    Do you help with college essays?

    We only help with proofreading essays and additionally advise you on the artist statement if a college demands for one.

    How many portfolio projects would you do in this course?

    If you’re enrolling for a full-length course with us, our aim is to complete anywhere between 20 - 40 projects. Colleges only require 10 - 20 projects but having a bulk allows you cater your portfolio specifically to the needs of each college.

    I have already done art before and have a few projects finished. Do I still need a full course?
